Hello, Just today I made a blog post in Community Central titled, "We need contributors! - Team Ico Wiki". Though we have a good base of users here, I want to encourage prospective editors to come and see what our wiki is all about. More specifically, I want to bring in new users so that we have a more active community.

Below is the original post from Community Central; It has not been altered.

Hello everyone! I am HappyIphisAria, and I would love for everyone to know about the Team Ico Wiki. It is a wiki about Fumito Ueda and his video-games: ICO, Shadow of the Colossus, and The Last Guardian.

These titles are uniquely characterized by a small cast, strong but minimalist storytelling, atmospheric use of bloom and HDR lighting, lush soundtracks that play only during key sequences, fictional spoken languages, and a distinctive art style. Recurring themes include the role of fate, friendship, the supernatural, and a pervading sense of one's mortality. Characters’ decisions are forever bound by consequences, even if their intentions were pure of heart. "Winning” will come at a cost.

So far we have one active admin and 171 pages, but we continue to grow with each new game! Though Ueda and his team have only released three titles since their founding in 1997, they have gained an increasing amount of attention and respect with each passing year. His team's namesake, ICO, and their second title Shadow of the Colossus, have both been cited as crucial examples of "videogames as art" and they continue to redefine what it means to have quality stories through such a highly interactive medium.

Our Community Message and Announcements are kept up to date and I regularly check the Discussions area for questions and comments. We encourage multiple methods of communication as, many of our best improvements have come from teamwork and collaboration. Similarly, we don't like to make drastic, site-wide alterations without asking everyone their opinion. The Team Ico Wiki isn't just a place where you make edits and clean up pages, it is a place where your thoughts will be heard!

I hope you enjoy the wiki, maybe play the games themselves, and hopefully become an active user! We are always looking for great contributors to promote too!

Thank you, HappyIphisAria (talk) 02:13, June 29, 2020 (UTC)
