Tortoises

Tortoises are slow creatures which can be found in areas such as deserts and sometimes at the entrances of temples in Shadow of the Colossus. When attacked, they will retreat into their shells for a few minutes. They're tough, but can be killed with Flash Arrows. However, killing them gives no rewards.

Small in number and easy to overlook, tortoises are little more than a rare tripping hazard.

Trivia[]

Wander is able to trip over tortoises.
A few tortoises can be found outside the entrance to the 6th colossus' lair in the US release of the original game. The PAL release, the PS3 remaster and the PS4 remake don't feature any tortoises there.
