The Farthest Land (最果ての地 Saihate no Chi), also named "End of the Land" in some releases, is a song from Shadow of the Colossus and track 18 of the Roar of the Earth soundtrack. It was composed for the game by Kō Ōtani.

Uses

1.

Its only usage in the PAL, PS3 and PS4 releases, and the first usage in the original NTSC release, is in the Agro cutscenes, which play if Wander has saved in one of the shrines and the game is left in the main menu for some time without player input.

2.

Its second and final usage in the NTSC release, is in the kite cutscenes, which only happen after the game is completed at least once. If Wander has saved in one of the shrines and the game is left in the main menu for some time without player input like in the previous entry, the scene will play. The song was replaced by Sky Burial in later releases.

• This song is heavily featured in various trailers of the game.
• Another version of this song, titled "The Farthest Land (Reprise)" exists in the soundtrack. It is never played in-game however.
