The Sword is an item used in ICO.

Swords can be found scattered throughout the Queen's castle. It has a light brown hilt, with an asymmetrical pommel and a lack of a crossguard, and a blade with a slightly curved point.

The swords are weapons and have no other use other than defeating the shadow creatures and cutting ropes. The first encounter with one of the swords is in the East Arena.

Trivia

A sword resembling this one is available as a reward in the Hard Time Attack mode of Shadow of the Colossus.
