The Sluice is a location in ICO.

Walkthrough

When you arrive at the large room, climb the ladder to the ceiling. Hold on to the pipes and keep moving forward. Pull the lever at the platform at the end to activate the gears in the corner of the large room, and the pillar will start pistoning up and down. Then, go down the ladder, get on the pillar, and press the jump button at the right moment. If you are successful, you will jump upwards so that you can escape out of the window by holding onto the wall. The timing for pressing the jump button on the pillar should be the moment when the pillar completely sinks down.

Once outside, go down the ladder and pull the lever by the stairs to open the door to the large room. When you meet up with Yorda, first push the box in the corner of the yard and drop it into the sluiceway. After this, jump from the spinning waterwheel to the sluice wall... but the timing is quite difficult. When jumping to the water wheel, you should first press the button repeatedly to climb up to the top of the water wheel in a hurry, and then press the button at the right moment to jump to the wall of the sluice. After turning the pulley at the sluice gate to stop the water, return with Yorda to the Waterfall room at the end of the tunnel from the channel where the water was flowing. After descending to the bottom of the waterfall room and fighting off the shadows, use the box as a platform and proceed to the stone statues at the exit.
