Upon exiting the elevator, you will arrive at the Queen's Room. Proceed to the throne at the back of this room, and when you try to return from there, the Queen will appear. When you start the fight with the her, take the magic sword first. If you have the sword, you can protect yourself from the "dark wave" that the she emits. If you approach the Queen and slash at her with the sword, the sword will be thrown away, so you must hide behind the stone statues, one on each side, until you can pick up the sword again. If you hide behind the statues, you can protect yourself from the queen's "dark wave". The statues can also be moved, so you can safely move to a position where it is easier to pick up the sword. Repeating the slashing motion a total of four times will break the barrier around the Queen, but the sword will be sent far back. At this point, it is advisable to move the stone statue on the right to the very rear and run at the same time the "dark wave" arrives, rushing to retrieve the sword.
Trivia[]
The lightbulbs found in Queen's room.
The Queen's room contains some lights that are unique to it and the Altar Room. Inspecting their model, they are named 'denkyu' (電球) which translates to 'lightbulb', suggesting that the castle has electric light for specific rooms.
While the 'denkyu' in the Altar Room each bear a rhombus-shaped ornament with cyan, blue, and pink coloring, the lights in the Queen's room have ornaments with orange, yellow, and green coloring. These colors schemes are near exact inversions of each other.
Diagram by field designer Kazuhiro Numata showing the orientation of Queen's room to the rest of the castle.
On the 22nd of January, 2025, field designer Kazuhiro Numata made a post on BlueSky correcting a common misconception regarding the orientation of the Queen's room in relation to the rest of the castle. This includes a diagram showing how the wall that the Queen's throne is placed near is directly against Yorda's tower. It also shows how the hole and chain above Queen's throne directly connects to the mechanism holding Yorda's cage, allowing her to easily access her daughter.
"Bloodstain effects" present in the room as viewed in external software.
A few days later in a reply to a question regarding Queen's room, Numata mentioned placing "bloodstain effects" in the room. After in-game searches for the effects proved fruitless, it was discovered using external software that the area where the unique idols are placed contains an extremely subtle black stain effect called sekizo_ato. Numata confirmed this was the "bloodstain effects" he was talking about and it was added to make it more obvious the statues could be moved.
