Simus is the fan-made name given to a colossus that for unknown reasons, did
not make it into the final version of the game. It was originally nicknamed Monkey by the developers.
The artbook says, 'It hung from the ceiling, and you'd defeat it by dropping it to the floor'. That, coupled with early sketch designs, indicate that Simus was fought in a cave-like area where it would hang on to stalagtites. It is rumored that Simus would either attack the player by letting stalagtites fall or by dropping itself on the player. In some depictions of early drafts, the colossus is able to grab stalagtites with all four limbs, others with two or - possibly - just one. The process to get Simus to fall to the ground would probably be repeated multiple times and also shooting arm wounds, like Kuromori.
Music Estimate
The actual music is unknown, so a fan made battle showing the music would probably be like this.
When Simus jumps up to hold on the stalagtites, A Messenger From Behind plays.
Once the arms were shot with the bow and Simus falls to the ground, A Despair-Filled Farewell plays until Simus gets back up and jumps back up to the ceiling.
