The Lair to the West is a location and one of 24 save shrines in Shadow of the Colossus.
Description[]
The "lair" referred to in the title is the 10th colossus' cave, and the shrine is located at the lair's northern entrance. (Another shrine, the Lair on the Mesa, is at the south end.) Together, these two shrines stand closest to the Land's westernmost stretch of the southern ocean.
There are no fruit trees, but this shrine shelters one white-tailed gecko. The nearby Lair on the Mesa shrine has no geckos.
Location[]
Located in the far west area of the Forbidden Lands in quadrant B4. Its shrine is located to the north of the quadrant.
Significant nearby areas[]
- The arena of the 10th colossus is just south of the shrine.
- The C3 quadrant is northeast of the shrine.
- To the east, the Western Plain shrine can be found.
Trivia[]
- In the PSU Preview version of this area, there existed another colossal tree on top of the cave entrance. This tree is exclusive to this version, as it's removed in later versions and isn't in the E3 Demo.
- It was discovered by SpaceOmega5000 that the cave entrance in the PSU Preview and E3 Demo versions was reused from the cave in I2, as both of them have extremely similar models.
