Kyos is one of the unused colossi that, for one

Kyos1

Kyos viewed from the side. There is fur on its back.

reason or another, did not make it into the final released game. The name Kyos is a fan given name, the developers called it Griffin.

The artbook gives relatively much information about Kyos. Such as, 'You could defeat it by making use of its weakness, fire. You were meant to fight it by riding Agro, as with Colossus 10'. This could mean that it was afraid of fire, just like Celosia, although this has not been confirmed.

According to early sketches, 'the joints are relevant and need to be withdrawn' and that they 'will act as obstacles'. Also, 'the wings are for decoration'. That is all the information on the colossus the artbook gives.

According to uncorfimed information, it took a while to finally get on the colossus' back and it was pretty easy to fall off. This is the reason it got scrapped, because it got frustrating and repetitive to keep getting on its back after falling off, which took a lot of time. This is unconfirmed information and could very well be made up.
