The Cliff Path is a location and one of 24 save shrines in Shadow of the Colossus.
Description[]
It is the path the player needs to take to get to the lair of the 5th colossus and to find a very well endowed fruit tree with at least 10 clumps of fruit. It is advised to eat all of the fruits before fighting the colossus. The shrine is located at the end of the path.
Perched on the edge of a cliff, the path is dotted with trees and is quite grassy; the steep drop-off is easy to avoid. At the bottom of the cliff, several waterfalls are visible running into the 2nd colossus' area and eventually out to sea.
Location[]
Located in the central area of the Forbidden Lands in quadrant G4. Its shrine is located in the eastern part of the region.
Significant nearby areas[]
- The arena of the 5th colossus is to the east of the shrine.
- Up north, the Half-moon Canyon can be found.
- Back west, the Shrine of Worship is located.
- South of the quadrant, the hill of the 4th colossus can be discovered.
Trivia[]
- A piece of G4 has likely been reused from the deleted quadrant H5, which also used to be a cliff path. Discovered by SpaceOmega5000 when comparing the quadrants in the pause menu map. The model of G4 also has some materials labeled as "H5", something that is not found anywhere else, further cementing it.
- The quadrant G4 used to feature another save shrine next to the entrance to the 4th colossus' arena. Evidence of its existence are in the E3 Demo's sheets showing its coordinates on the region, and it also appears in early slow models of the area, as seen first in the OPM Demo.
- This shrine was likely replaced by the Lair on the Mesa shrine, as it didn't exist yet in the E3 Demo.
