B6 and the majority of C6 are unused locations and quadrants, found in the PSU Preview and E3 Demo versions of the game.

Description[]

B6 is an empty green plain overlooking the ocean, which early in development used to be at a much higher level. Looking at B6's ambient texture reveals that it wasn't always empty, with a fruit tree and some things resembling ponds or an oasis being visible. It's possible they were removed from the location when it was abandoned, as both fruit trees and oasis models are usually separate from the main seamless quadrant models.

The C6 plains only exist as a cliff edge, with the middle being completely absent, although part of it can be seen in a promotional screenshot found in the Nico bonus DVD and issue #285 of the Dengeki PlayStation magazine; showing that the mountains in C6 and D6 from the final game did not exist at the time.

Location[]

Located at quadrants B6 and C6, they used to connect to the rest of the Blasted Lands and to the unused arena of Roc, the Badlands, before the mountains in which the 6th colossus inhabits were placed on the map.

History[]

  • The location was previously only seen as a low resolution texture and model, which could only be accessed via hacking and disappeared whenever one would get close to it.
  • It was first discovered as a high resolution model when the PSU Preview version got in the hands of Nomad Colossus. The area lacked collision and thus couldn't be walked on.
  • When the E3 Demo was made public in March 20, 2021 by a group known as Hidden Palace, it was discovered by SpaceOmega5000 that the B6 and C6 plains had collision, making it finally possible for the player to walk on them.

Trivia[]

  • By comparing this land with a piece of Stonehenge from the height map, it has been discovered that the Beta Plains used to belong to it. Pieces of Stonehenge have been reused to B6 and several other areas of the Forbidden Lands, it was likely there as a placeholder before they modified it enough in order to make it more unique. However, the B6 quadrant ended up being cut as well.
  • There exists a cave-like crevice on the low lands of B6. Possibly where Sirius would wake up from.
