The Altar (祭壇 Saidan) is a location from ICO.
Walkthrough[]
First visit[]
After Ico is able to move, go to the right side of the screen and climb up the stairs. There, you will find a lever. Pulling it will open the door directly below, so proceed to the next room.
Second visit[]
After taking the Elevator up, Ico was able to come back to the altar where he had been trapped in a capsule in the beginning of the game. However, in the back of the altar, Yorda is solidified like stone and there's countless shadows in the shape of horned boys. As you approach, the shadows begin to move, so you must use your magic sword to defeat them, and each time you defeat one, one of the capsules on the wall will glow. When all the capsules are glowing, the staircase behind Yorda will lower, and you will be able to go to the stone statues at the back of the staircase.
